Draft Class of 2014 = No Franchise Quarterbacks

Tons of media members, fans, and NFL scouts are looking at this year's draft class and trying to find out which quarterback will be the best out of the group, and become a franchise quarterback.  There will NOT be a franchise quarterback out of this years draft class and these are the reasons why for the top quarterback candidates:

Blake Bortles: He has the prototypical size of a franchise quarterback, and the arm strength of a franchise quarterback, but he's lacking that it factor.  Blake Bortles is just another college quarterback who became famous in one year by defeating a few good teams, having a nice-looking girlfriend, and living in Florida.  Bortles looks the NFL Quarterback part, but will crumble when a franchise is looking to build around him. He had a solid running game that he could lean on while he was at UCF, what happens when he doesn't have that go-to running back in the league? Also he comes from a, lets' be honest, weak American Athletic Conference where defensive backs weren't exactly the cream of the crop.

Teddy Bridgewater: I've had a bad feeling about Teddy Bridgewater from day one, maybe it's because I'm a Miami Hurricanes fan and he snubbed us last minute, but I have more reasons than that. Bridgewater had the great opportunity of playing a ton of prime-time games this past season, this helped his draft stock because people got to see him tear up the UCONN's and South Florida's of the world. The biggest thing I noticed with Teddy Bridgewater is that he floats the ball a lot. No way the mistake of over-throwing receivers is going to end well in the NFL, one of two things is going to happen; 1. the defensive back intercepts the ball, 2. the receiver ends up on a stretcher being taken off the field.

Johnny "Football" Manziel: Now Johnny Football probably won't end up being franchise quarterback, but he may end up as a the face of a franchise. This is the type of guy you can put on a poster anywhere in the city and people are going to recognize him, he's already a household name.  This guy didn't just make Texas A&M wealthier during his time there, he made the Adidas brand wealthier during his college years, props to Nike for signing him up. The reason Manziel won't make it in the league is because he's too small, not only in height, but in body size.  Have you ever seen him sitting there during an interview, he looks like a high school junior still waiting for all those bench presses at 135 to pay off. He only played two years of college football so his body isn't beat up yet, but it will be pretty quick in the NFL.
